ENGAGED!

Hannah was offered a proposal she couldn't refused - with a diamond and white sapphire ring,
a song, a promise, flowers, timmies tea and a donut!

Josia covered all the basis.

on an ordinary Caronport day - he took her for a chilly walk on a snow covered treed lane she had walked many times before praying for the unknown love of her life.

and there he was  - on one knee - in the snow - asking her to be his wife

THE NIGHT THEY MET

Apparently the night they met was a fluke 

- serendipty - 

Josia was somewhere and had a headache

 - it would not go away -

he finally went home the headache went away 

his roommate invited him to a costume party

he went and danced the night away

She was asked to go to the party 

by her brother the brave knight

(in chain male and duct tape)

He could bring a date but his girlfriend had her own invitation

Hannah dressed like a princess

in her grad dress from 8 years ago..
she met her prince

and danced the night away

STOLEN DATES AND NACHOS

I love that with the busyness of both of their 

lives they try and find time for dates

Josia went into Regina with Hannah

and waited while she worked

Of course he worked on his 

own assignments...

Later they dined on a shared

plate of nachos...

happy to be together

happy in spite of busyness

this morning

they persevered
and braved another

HANDS CLASPED

It was a poetry reading
she is intense
he is supportive

they glow as they grasp
each others hand in support
and presence

it was a moment
i wanted captured in time
it seemed to capture
their essence

ORDINARY THINGS

when did we forget how much fun it was

just to be

just to be together

on an ordinary day

in an unordinary car

doing routine things

heart singing

smiles grinning

at peace

with the ordinary

fresh fallen snow is hard to resist

            It is by far one of her favorite flowers                                                              in one of her favorite colors                                                    I like the fact that she is traditional but romantic and has her own ideas I like that he caters to that!

BEGINNINGS

                                           my son Joel commented after a town trip with Josia -                                         "It seems hard to remember when he wasn't here -

 there is no uncomfortable silences or awkwardness with him"

so Josia steals our hearts one by one -

on a town trip for groceries with me - 

he eases in and out of aisles selecting the things he is asked for

 - it is like he has been shopping with our family for some time -

ALL of a SUDDEN

there he was and he looked like he had

been there forever...

they say it isn't how long you know someone

but the quality of time you spend

the things you do

how much you pray

and the experiences

you have

together.
